45. Singapur Uluslararası Fotoğraf Salonu – 1994
1994 yılında düzenlenen 45th Singapore International Salon of Photography, fotoğraf sanatının uluslararası platformda buluştuğu prestijli ve köklü bir etkinliktir. Etkinliğin resmi gönderici kuruluşu, The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS)—yani Singapur Fotoğraf Derneği’dir. Alıcı ise Avusturya’nın başkenti Viyana’da bulunan bir fotoğraf derneğinin üyesidir.
The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), 1950 yılında kurulmuş ve Asya’nın en köklü fotoğraf kuruluşlarından biridir. Kuruluşundan itibaren amacı, fotoğrafı yalnızca teknik bir uğraş olarak değil, aynı zamanda kültürel ve sanatsal bir anlatım aracı olarak tanıtmaktır. Dernek, 1950’lerden bu yana her yıl uluslararası “Salon of Photography”sergilerini düzenleyerek Asya ile Avrupa arasında sanatsal iletişimi güçlendirmiştir.
1994 yılı itibarıyla etkinlik 45. kez gerçekleştirilmiş olup, FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique)ve PSA (Photographic Society of America) tarafından tanınmıştır. Kabul edilen çalışmalar, her iki kurumun da “Star Rating” sistemine dâhil edilmiştir, bu sayede katılımcılar uluslararası prestij kazanma fırsatı elde etmiştir.
45th Singapore International Photography Salon 1994
1994 saw the prestigious 45th Singapore International Salon of Photography, a long-standing event that brought together photographers from around the world to celebrate artistic excellence.The official sender of the event was The Photographic Society of Singapore (PSS), one of Asia’s oldest photographic organizations. The recipient was a member of a photographic society based in Vienna, Austria.
Founded in 1950, the PSS aimed to promote photography not merely as a technical pursuit but as a cultural and artistic medium. Since its inception, the society has organized annual international “Salon of Photography” exhibitions, fostering artistic exchange between Asia and Europe.
By 1994, the event was held for the 45th time and was recognized by FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) and PSA (Photographic Society of America). Accepted works were included in both organizations’ “Star Rating” system, giving participants an opportunity to gain international prestige.
