Bu belge, 1966 yılına ait, İsviçre’deki Shell akaryakıt istasyonlarında geçerli promosyon amaçlı dört dilli hazırlanmış bir indirim kuponudur. Kupon, fotoğraf filmi alışverişlerinde 1 İsviçre Frangı tutarında indirim sağlar ve yalnızca belirli ürünlerde geçerlidir:

Kuponu kullanmak isteyen müşterilerin, Shell istasyonlarından film satın alması ve kuponu ad, adres ve araç plakası bilgileriyle doldurması gerekiyordu. Geçerli kabul edilen bu kuponlar, Zürih'teki "Foto-Film-Dienst 3M CO" adresine gönderilmekteydi. Kullanım dönemi ise yalnızca 31 Temmuz ile 31 Aralık 1966 tarihleri arasını kapsamaktaydı.
1960’lı yıllarda renkli film hâlâ lüks sayıldığından, 1 franklık bir indirim bile müşterilerin dikkatini çeken önemli bir avantaj olarak öne çıkıyordu.
Kuponun üzerinde yer alan firmalara kısaca değinmek gerekirse:
Ferrania, 1923 yılında İtalya’da kurulan ve başlangıçta sinema filmleri için emülsiyon üreten bir firmaydı. II. Dünya Savaşı sonrasında, renkli negatif film, dia (slayt) filmi ve sinema filmi üretiminde Avrupa’nın önde gelen markalarından biri hâline gelmiştir.
3M ise, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri menşeli bir şirket olup; bant, kâğıt ürünleri, manyetik medya ve fotoğraf malzemeleri üretimiyle tanınır. 1960’larda Avrupa pazarına daha güçlü bir giriş yapabilmek adına Ferrania ile iş birliğine gitmiş ve bu ortaklık "Ferrania 3M" markasını ortaya çıkarmıştır.

This document is a promotional discount coupon from 1966, valid at Shell gas stations in Switzerland and printed in four languages. The coupon offered a discount of 1 Swiss Franc on the purchase of photographic film and was valid only for specific products:

Customers wishing to use the coupon were required to purchase the film at Shell stations and fill in the coupon with their name, address, and vehicle license plate number. These validated coupons were then to be sent to "Foto-Film-Dienst 3M CO" in Zurich. The usage period was strictly limited to between July 31 and December 31, 1966.
In the 1960s, color film was still considered a luxury item, so even a discount of one franc stood out as a significant incentive for customers.
A brief note on the companies mentioned on the coupon:
Ferrania was founded in Italy in 1923, initially producing emulsions for cinema film. After World War II, it became one of Europe’s leading brands in the production of color negative film, slide (dia) film, and motion picture film.
3M, an American-based company, was known for producing tapes, paper products, magnetic media, and photographic materials. In the 1960s, in order to strengthen its presence in the European market, 3M partnered with Ferrania, leading to the creation of the Ferrania 3M brand.
