American Aristotype Co. şirketi 1889 yılında Porter Sheldon ve Charles S. Abbott tarafından Jamestown New York (USA) kurulmuştur.1899 yılında ise American Aristotip Co. şirketi tarafından satın alınmıştır. 1901 yılında ise Kodak firması tarafından satın alınmışlardır. Bu üç şirkette fotoğraf baskıları ve fotoğraf kağıtları konusunda uzmanlaşmışlardır.

The American Aristotype Co. was founded in 1899 by Porter Sheldon and Charles S. Abbott in Jamestown New York (USA). In 1899 American Aristotype Co. was folded into General Aristo Co.This company was in turn bought by Eastman Kodak Co in 1901. All three companies specialized in photography, photo printing and photo paper.
