Charles BAUDELAIRE (1821-1867) Fransız şair,denemeci ve sanat eleştirmeni.Modern şehir yaşamının şairi.1850 li  yıllarda fotoğraf ile ilgilenmeye başladı ve onu bir sanat formu olarak nitelendirerek, onun gerçek amacına,yani bilime ve sanata hizmetkar olarak geri dönmesi gerektiğini savunmuştur. Pul üzerinde yer alan portresi 1862'de Etienne Carjat tarafından çekilmiştir.

The French author Charles BAUDELAIRE (1821-1867) was the poet of the modern metropolis and was one of the first great French precursors of the symbolists.He became interested in photography in the 1850s and,deneouncing it is art form, advocated it is return to "its real purpose, which is that of being the servant to the sciences and arts".The stamp presents graphic representation of a Baudelaire's photographic portrait taken in 1862 by Etienne Carjat.
