The postal cancellation dated July 22, 1957 indicates that the item entered the postal system through the Entiat post office during the evening hours.
Glen's Studio was most likely a small photographic studio operating within the local community of Entiat and its surrounding area. In the United States, especially in the decades following the Second World War, photographic studios became an important element of everyday social life. Such businesses commonly offered services including portrait photography, family photographs, school portraits, and identification photographs. In smaller communities these studios often functioned not only as commercial enterprises but also as places where visual records of local society were created and preserved.
