From this address, we learn that the sender is "JAR. PŘENOSIL" (Jaroslav Přenosil), who was located in the Pankrác area of Prague, in the Krc district. The term "ČSSR" stands for "Československá socialistická republika," which translates to the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. This period refers to the time when Czechoslovakia was under socialist rule from 1960 to 1990.

One of the company’s most notable features was its role as the distributor of Kodak products in Bolivia. Casa Kavlin brought Kodak cameras, films, and photo printing materials to the Bolivian market. This played a significant role in the spread of photography in Bolivia, particularly in the 1950s and beyond. If we examine the stamp and postmark on the envelope, there is a 20 centavos Bolivian airmail stamp on it. The stamp features an airplane figure, which is a symbol of Bolivian aviation or postal services. Additionally, it might have the inscription "Pan-American Postal Union" (UPAEP), representing an organization that supports postal services within the Pan-American region. The address on the envelope is that of the company Robert Widmer (ROWI). ROWI was founded by Robert Widmer and operated in the field of photographic accessories for many years. The 1950s and 1960s are considered the company's most active and successful periods. Although not certain, it is believed that the firm was initially established in Vancouver, Canada, in 1903 by Ernest Crocker (1877-1968) and two British immigrants, later moving to Victoria, B.C., Canada. The "Via New York" phrase on the envelope indicates that the envelopes frequently traveled through New York, a commonly used route at the time for sending mail to Canada.

Zeiss Ikon & Agfa: German Optical Industry Legacy in One Cover

Zeiss Ikon, Carl Zeiss, Ernemann, Contessa-Nettel ve ICA (Internationale Camera Actiengesellschaft) gibi dört büyük Alman fotoğraf makinesi üreticisinin birleşmesiyle oluşturulmuştur. Zeiss Ikon, fotoğraf makineleri ve projeksiyon cihazları gibi optik ürünler üretmiştir. Zeiss Ikon, 1930 lu yıllarda Leica fotoğraf makinalarına  rakip olacak yüksek kaliteli 35 mm fotoğraf makineleride üretmeye başlamıştır. Contax adı altında piyasaya sürülen bu makineler, özellikle dayanıklılıkları, üstün optik kaliteleri ve yenilikçi tasarımlarıyla öne çıkıyordu. İkinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında şirket, üretimini savaş malzemelerine ve askeri ekipmanlara yönlendirmek zorunda kaldı. Savaş sonrası dönemde ise şirketin bazı fabrikaları Doğu Almanya'da kaldı, bazıları Batı Almanya'da çalışmaya devam etti. 

1950 li ve 60 lı yıllarda da fotoğraf makinası üretimine devam eden şirket , 1960 lı yılların sonlarına doğru özellikle Japon fotoğraf makinalarının piyasaya hakim olmasıyla rekabet açısından zorlandı. Firma 1972 yılında fotoğraf makinası üretimini durdurdu.Ancak optik ürünleri üretmeye devam etti. Zarf üstündeki diğer bilgilere bakacak olursak ,Haus für Photo und Optik ( Fotoğraf ve Optik evi ) anlamına gelen bir ifade yar almaktadır.Buda firmanın fotoğrafçılık ve optik ürünler sattığını belirtmektedir. Firma sahibi veya yöneticisi olarak Wilhelm Hoffmeister ismi bulunmaktadır. Zarfın alıcısı ise Herrn Hauptmann Dr. H. Müller isimli bir kişidir. "Hauptmann", Almanca'da yüzbaşı rütbesine denk gelir, "Dr." ise alıcının doktor ünvanına sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Alıcı, Sonneberg'deki "Wehrmeldeamt" (askeri kayıt ofisi) da görev yapmaktadır. 

Zarfın arka yüzünde ise Agfa ( 1867 yılında kurulan ve fotoğrafçılık ile film teknolojisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan bir Alman şirketidir. Agfa, özellikle fotoğraf filmleri, kimyasallar ve fotoğraf ekipmanları üretimi ile tanınmıştır.) logosu ve almanca olarak Bewährt und Zuverlässig ( kanıtlanmış ve güvenilir ) anlamına gelen bir ifade kullanılmıştır. Agfa ürünlerinin sağlamlığı ve güvenilirliğine vurgu yapmak amacıyla bu sloganı kullanılmıştır.
